BACKGROUND + INSPIRATION

My Journey Into Psychology

My journey into psychology began with a deep curiosity about human potential and resilience. After college, my work in the arts and passion for understanding the human mind led me to earn a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus on art therapy. To further refine my expertise in the mind-body connection, I pursued a PhD in Health Psychology and became a licensed clinical psychologist.

Wish over 15 years of clinical experience, I specialize in working with high-achieving adults navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, health challenges, women's health and menopause, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are executives, academics, athletes, and college students seeking to manage stress, optimize performance, and create more fulfilling lives. My background includes experience in diverse clinical settings, including college counseling centers, chronic pain clinics, inpatient hospitals, and intensive outpatient programs for eating disorders and behavioral health. I also provide psychological services for Division I athletes at the University of San Diego. My private practice is based in La Jolla, California, serving clients throughout San Diego County and statewide via telehealth.

I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Art Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. By integrating evidence-based approaches with a personalized and strategic framework, I help clients build resilience, navigate challenges, and achieve meaningful personal and professional growth.

A 200-hour yoga teacher training further informs my holistic approach, allowing me to incorporate mindfulness, movement, and creativity into therapy when beneficial.
