FEES

RATE

$250 for a 53-minute psychotherapy session. All fees are subject to change.

INITIAL PHONE CONSULTATION

I offer a complimentary initial phone consultation (20 - 30 minutes) to discuss your needs and determine if we are a good fit for therapy.

PAYMENT METHODS

Private Pay: I welcome self-pay clients who prefer a boutique, personalized experience without the limitations of insurance. Superbills are provided upon request for out of network reimbursement through your insurance plan.

Payment is accepted via credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) as well as Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please cancel sessions at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a charge for the full session fee.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

  • Insurance: I accept the following insurance plans and am continually adding more (contact me for the latest):

    • HealthNet/MHN

    • BlueShield

    • UnitedHealthcare (ALMA)

  • Please note: Insurance is currently accepted for clients located in California only. Private pay clients are welcome in both California and Colorado.

INSURANCE CLAIMS

  • In-Network Claims: I handle billing directly with Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare (ALMA) and HealthNet/MHN. Individuals are responsible for their co-payment at the time of service. If your annual deductible has not been met, you may need to pay the full session fee until it is satisfied.

  • Out-of-Network Claims: For plans where I am an out-of-network provider, some insurance plans will cover out-of-network services. In these cases, I can bill your insurance directly, but your out-of-pocket costs may be higher, and there may be a higher deductible. Read more about using out-of-network benefits.

OUT OF NETWORK BENEFITS

Many PPO insurance plans offer out of network benefits that can reimburse 50 to 80 percent of therapy costs. If your plan includes out of network coverage, you may be able to see me as a private pay client while still receiving insurance reimbursement.

KAISER MEMBERS

Many of my private pay clients have Kaiser and choose to work with me as an outside specialist. Seeing an out-of-network provider gives you a say in who you work with, continuity with the same therapist over time, and access to specialized approaches such as ERP for OCD, along with focused support for anxiety, ADHD, health psychology, and women's health and menopause.

USING YOUR OUT OF NETWORK BENEFITS

If I am not in network with your insurance, you may still be able to use your out of network benefits to make therapy more affordable. Many PPO plans reimburse 50 to 80 percent of therapy costs once your out of network deductible is met.

Out of network benefits can feel confusing, so I partner with Thrizer, a platform that makes the process simple and removes the usual guesswork and waiting.

How It Works

Thrizer works like a secure payment platform for therapy. Depending on where you are with your deductible, you have two options:

Before your deductible is met: You pay my full session fee, and Thrizer automatically submits your insurance claim for you. You are reimbursed directly by your insurance, usually within a few weeks. No superbills to mail, no forms to chase down.

After your deductible is met: Instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursement, you pay only your portion of the session cost at the time of service. Thrizer covers the rest of my fee upfront and waits for the insurance reimbursement on your behalf. Your exact portion depends on your plan, and the benefits checker below will show you the estimate before you ever commit.

What This Means For You

Know your costs in advance using the benefits checker below. No surprise bills and no paperwork, since Thrizer handles the insurance back and forth. And you can access care now rather than waiting weeks for reimbursement.

Check your benefits below. It takes about 60 seconds with no obligation.

My fees are transparent and reflect the care and expertise I provide. If you are uninsured or not using insurance, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of the expected costs under the No Surprises Act.
